ORATIONS - INSTRUCTION TO AUTHORS

44^th ANNUAL ACADEMIC SESSIONS

15, 16 & 17 September 2011

The Ceylon College of Physicians invites applications for the following Orations to be delivered during the 44^th Annual Academic Sessions, scheduled for 15^th – 17^th September 2011.

ORATIONS:

• P.B. Fernando Memorial Oration
• Cyril Fernando Memorial Oration
• E.V. Pieris Memorial Oration
• K. Rajasuriya Memorial Oration

INSTRUCTIONS:

-Please submit five copies of the script with a covering letter.  Four copies must be anonymous, while the fifth should indicate the name of the applicant along with his/her current position and place of work.

-The deadline for receipt of applications is 3.00 pm on Thursday 30^th June 2011.

-Applicants who are provisionally selected will be notified during the month of August 2011.  Only successful applicants will be notified of the results of selection.

-Those who accept the provisional selection will need to register for the 44^th Annual Academic Sessions before they are offered the Oration.  The deadline for the finalization of acceptance, registration and offer is 31^st August 2011.

-The Ceylon College of Physicians reserves the right to decide which particular Oration will be offered to each successful applicant.
